Srinivas,
The table is already in the database, keep it there. Choose a better PI for the set table. Maybe add a PPI and copy only certain partition.
Do some queries to filter out dupes before insert.
Also, if you need to do this all the time (copying 800G from temp table to production table), then maybe the etl process can be improved --
maybe a delta process? Less IO and CPU will benefit all users.
