Eric, Well put. However, I suggest that you only keep a couple of days in the dbc tables except for summary tables. There are two reasons: 1) query performance will not be as good against the DBC tables as they will not have the PPI, secondary indexes or join indexes that you may add. 2) You cannot backup these DBC tables. In the event you have a catastrophic problem and have to rebuild the whole system you will loose the information in the DBQL log tables. NOTE: THIS would be really rare, but you might want to plan for it. Thanks, Bob Diehl
