Here are the descriptions from the Data Dictionary manual.
You can create a table in Teradata and store the columntype and the description for future reference.
* AT = TIME
* BF = BYTE

* CV = VARCHAR

* DA = DATE
* DH = INTERVAL DAY TO HOUR
