All - Thanks for the responses... Thanks for the mapping, that will help. I understand that we can create a table and insert the records
manually, but I was looking to see if anyone knew of a Teradata maintained version of this so that we don't have to adjust when a new data type is
added. dbc.columns will only give you a list of the codes, not the "spelled out" meanings like DA=DATE
