Hola Dieter, So very cool! I did the EXPLAIN on select TYPE(tablename.col_name) And got: -> The row is sent directly back to the user as the result of statement 1. It came back directly from the parser? Way too cool. Sort of like: SELECT USER, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP But the SELECT TYPE w/o a FROM clause is much more useful. iv
