All,

I have a collection of 8 Security user ids who have all-conquering access rights to just about every user / db on the system (2000 dbs) which equates to approx 400,000 access right rows. They have also have 'With Grant Option' in order for them to grant any rights on these dbs as necessary.

I would like to create a Role for them that does this and just assign the Security User Ids to this role, rather than having all the rights at individual user id level. My problem is that Grant Option cannot be granted to a Role.

Any idea why this is, whether it is different at later software levels (we're at V2R5.1 for now), and whether there is a way around it.

Any advice appreciated.
