Depends on exactly what you mean by "quiescent"....If by "quiescent" you mean to logically stop the RDBMS in an orderly fashion as in
preparation for perhaps shutting down the underlying host OS environment then for Teradata, the "tpareset" command is used......This is not
something the casual user can or should do so you should discuss your need/interest with you system administrator.....
