Gopal, Multiple column stats are not allowed on Join Indexes except for multi-column indexes in V2R5.x and V2r6.0 You can create a secondary index on top of the Join index and then collect stats on the secondary index. The extra overhead of having the Secondary index might not be worth the effort. Only way to know would be to try it and compare the explain. I have not checked if multi-column stats are allowed in V2R6.1 Thanks, Bob Diehl
