I just know this will come out sounding wrong, but what you need to do depends what you need to do.

There is an entire manual that describes how to set up JDBC, the parameters you can supply, capabilities and so on.

In the later versions of the driver (v 3.2 or v 3.3 and later) there are also code examples that may be found in the driver files. If you have it, they will be in samples.jar (which is a zip archive and can be unpacked with WinZip or a clone).
