I saw that post, that is similar to what I am already doing. It is generating SQL to collect statistics on tables. (in a different database). I will use it though as it is a more elegant and concise version of what I was already doing. Much thanks to you and Dieter though! I want to generate or "copy" the physical statistics. Not collect them. However I am not sure if that is possible. I want to circumvent populating tables and collecting stats, then truncating them as a means to keep stats on an empty table. I simply would want to copy table with the statistics, WITHOUT data (but with stats staying the same as the original populated table). I want to know if you can generate the stats (copied from the original table ) and impose them on an empty table. Thanks, Eric Barner
