Actually you dont. If you submit a query when you are not connected it will automatically display the 'Select a data source' dialog for you to choose from. It will not however log you back off when the query finishes if that is what you are wanting. (I know some companies dont want idle sessions sitting around not being used, but if that is not your case then you can simply leave the session connected until you need it again.) The real question is why Connect/Disconnect is causing a problem. Please run the 'verify.exe' file in the install directory and send me the 'verify.log' file. I'll see if I can see anything wrong. Please also use RegEdit to dump the contents of the following registry key to a file, so that I can duplicate your settings and maybe recreate the problem: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NCR\Queryman Thanks.
