I'm using the Teradata ODBC driver (version 3.526.1830.0) in an asp.net web application - I've found the connection time is extremely
inconsistent. It is averaging around 25 seconds, but varies from 1 second to about 1 minute. The application is on a web server, which is remote
from the Teradata machine.
The delays are apparently not related to network traffic or load on Teradata, as there is no pattern to the connection time. The actually time
to return data from a query is quite acceptable and consistent.
Any suggestion on the cause for these connection delays?
