Hi

When I am migrating oracle char/varchar to teradata char/varchar and view through teradata sql assistent ( through fixed format file creation from oracle and loading in to teradata fixed length format text )

Example :--

If the column value is 'abc'

when i am querying in oracle

select * from table where column = 'abc'

i am getting the result

but in teradata sql assistent when i am querying

select * from table where column = 'abc'

i am getting the result

select * from table where column = 'abc '

i am getting the same result .

why char/varchar field in teradata behaving like this .

How teradata char/varchar data stored in side the database .

Is this teradata sql assistent problem

is any one have any ideas

Thanks ,
