I'm considering a Join Index to "pre-join" three tables, two of which are very large and will have the same PI, possibly PPI. I haven't had great success with Join Indexes in the past. It seems there is no way to force/encourage the optimizer to choose them. I wanted to solicit any success stories anyone may have experienced to help my justification to the project team.

We are running V2R5.1.2.
