Hi, One advantage of accessing data through views is to minimize the spool space. If one creates views on specific columns rather than the whole table, what happens while selecting data through that view it doesn't redistribute the whole table but only those columns which are created in the view. By this way it will minimize the spool space. We had a spool space problem sometime back due to selecting data from the table .So we created a view only on those columns which is required and selected through the view. It was running fine. Any other input is really appreciated? Thanks & regards Lakshman
