I believe that is the default setting for rounding in Teradata. (Bank Rounding?) odd numbers round up , evens down, to minimize skew in rounding error.

I think you can change it to always round Up on .5.

Someone from Teradata please expand on this, but I think it is a global setting and will need a restart to implement.
