Subj:		Query State is PARSING

Hello All,

We have a Cognos query that is in a state of PARSING on the Teradata database for as long as 20 minutes. The query is quite intense, it is a database view that returns 440+ columns. However, when we capture the actual SQL and run it in Queryman it only takes about a minute or two to run.

Is there anyway we can improve (or reduce) the amount of time it takes to PARSE the SQL? We have checked the DISABLE PARSING option on the ODBC driver.
