How do you submit the query? If via ODBC (for example, in SQLA) then you you might try to disable the so called "ODBC extensions". They
sometimes cause problems of this ilk with certain combinations of database releases and ODBC driver versions.
Alternatively, you could submit the query via Bteq, which does not use ODBC at all.
