From:   Dempsey, Mike

Others have answered as to what '0A'x is.

Now, why does Teradata complain about it.

You do not mention what version of Queryman/SQL Assistant, Teradata DBS, or ODBC driver you are using.

Older versions of Queryman used to specifically remove this character before submitting the query to Teradata. (Unless you use 'Execute Parallel') Starting in version 7.1 this character is no longer removed. (Newer versions of the DBS/ODBC driver do not object to it, and removing it might cause problems for other RDBMS vendors who expect to see it.)

Your version of BTEQ on the other hand is presumably removing it.

Version 7.2 will incorporate the 'inteligent copy/paste' action refered to in another post, where the Query window will accept any combination of 0A, 0D or 0D0A and automatically convert these to 0D0A, as required by Windows.
