Hi all

I call bteq by shell programm

In bteq's head, I have got two lines to give log and extract ;

     .messageout file=//xxx$variable.log .export report
     .export report file=//xxx$variable.lst

The variable is defined in shell and is exported, but it is'nt used by sql

How can I use the variable ? With '$variable' "$variable" ${variable} or in other ways

Can you help me ?
