Yeah, I remember on one system I was on, somebody left something running on one node that was eating 50% of the CPU on that node only. Which
meant that capacity across the entire 14 node system was halved. Or another rule of breaking thumbs:
"Yer basic Teradata dbms only works as fast as yer slowest node."
I suggest if you feel the need to run ETL or other processes on NCR nodes, that you get some non-TPA nodes attached to the bynet and make the
NCR sales dudes really happy.
