I would check that you don't have ODBC tracing turned on. This not only slows down query processing, but it will also consume all of your free disk space if you don't turn it off. Tracing, as its name implies, records copious amounts of information about every connection, query processed, row retrieved and column extracted. It is invaluable in solving some database access problems. To turn tracing off, go into your ODBC Administrator (aka Data Sources in control panel), select the "tracing" tab and click the "Stop tracing now" button. If you only have a "start tracing now" button then you might have to look elsewhere for a solution. I have found that occasionally you need to "unload" ODBC for changes to take affect - the easiest way to do this is simply reboot. I hope this helps Glenn Mc
