You mentioned that there is milli second part as well. You have to take that into consideration as well. you need some thing like cast(:DTTM as timestamp(2) format 'yyyymmddhhmiss.s(2)') .s(2) means that the data will have upto two milli second values. that is the data might appear like 20060131120159.12. The length of time stamp and this milli second part is interlink and should be chosen according to the data in your file. Regards, Muhammad Altaf
