My best advice is format the "Oracle" part of the brain (no offense meant) and just keep the basic ANSI SQL part. I came from an
Informix/Sybase/Postgresql background to Teradata and fell in love instantly, and I am glad I spent my first days studying the architecture and
optimiser before jumping on to write SQL queries. My suggestion is pick a small book on Teradata which gives an overall view of the architecture
and the "basic" stuff. You will be glad you did. and you will be curious to explore more after that.
Good Luck
