Rajesh, The table "dbc.syssecdefaults" helps you with password control. You can update various columns of this table as user 'DBC'. Chapter 2 of Teradata Security Administration Manual gives more details about it. I do not think your exact requirement can be fulfilled as there is no way to enforce that a particular type of character (alpha/numeric/special) should be present in the password string. Probably it would be a good idea to implement a Program/Shell Script on Unix/Web interface that makes sure the new password is as per the standards and then submits to the database. Pranav Sankar
