In case anyone encounters the same problem... We have resolved our email alert errors by changing logon network security from 'None' to
'Password Authentication' on Teradata Manager server. MS Outlook requires a login upon opening if logon network security is set to 'None'. Once
we configured Outlook with 'Password Authentication', the login was automatic.
