The ALERT POLICY panel, under ACTIONS, specify a Physical Action to SEND EMAIL. Then associate that action with the events you want email
for.
The Server will need an OUTLOOK account, or whatever is your poison d'jour for email in your site.
In the TERADATA ANAGER ADMINISTRATOR, under SYSTEMS, there's an entry to CONFIGURE EMAIL. That's' where the email account is entered along
with the PASSWORD.
Last, you may need to fiddle with the Teradata Manger service in the properties panel for the service. You may need to specify the user name
there too, but that's a maybe. Mine seems to be working just fine.
