Subj:   Row Level Security in Teradata??

From:   Chirag Santwani

Hello,

I am a learner of TeraData.

Here in my Company we are migrating from Oracle to Teradata. Currently I am working on Datawarehousing project.

In Oracle we have set Row Level Security. Can anybody have idea about similar functionality in Teradata?. Here is the Explaination how RLS/Virtual Private Database works in Oracle.

==> Business Rules can be applied to Table Object. That rule can be difined in a PL/SQL function.

==> Using Oracle's DBMS_RLS package's ADD_POLICY procedure, we can attach the Business rule function to the object.

==> Hence whenever we fire "select statement" on table object, that business rule function is executed and in select statement dynamic filter condition will be added.
