<-- Anonymously Posted: Thursday, December 01, 2005 15:13 --> I finally was able to convince developers to issue EXPLAIN statements for their work when I received a complaint that he was denied the rights to issue the EXPLAIN on an UPDATE statement against production tables. The error said the user had no UPDATE rights on the production object in question. OK, so far so good, but this is an EXPLAIN not the actual UPDATE! Is this a bug in Teradata or do we need to set something up. Thanks Anonym
