Not sure if this is the new truth but I did some looking into this same issue not long ago and my impression/conclusion was that the size of
the resulting SQL transaction was more the limiting factor these days rather than a physical limitation in the "IN list" syntax. Depending on
where the transaction is being built (i.e. what type of client) and then submitted to Teradata seems to have more of an impact on any limitations
encountered. I too would be interested in what others have to say on this topic....
