You are probably referring to the release version of the Teradata utilities. If so, it does not seem to be recent but even the latest versions of bteq do not support XML directly. Of course, if the XML in question is not too complicated, one could invest some effort in the SQL statement and create the headings, tags etc from within the SQL. Not a very interesting task, though. You might be better off if you follow Mike's advice and use Teradata SQL Assistant instead of bteq: www.teradataforum.com/teradata/20051020_144222.htm . You might need to install/upgrade your version as XML support is probably relatively recent. I never use this feature in SQLA so I would not notice. I prefer to use third party tools for my XML conversions. You might find some of them mentioned in the archives of this forum. Regards, Victor
