As expected, it does not help to change the delay time in the loop. The only thing I can suggest is if: a) You do not need to cancel the query b) You do not need to work on a second query while the first is running (at least not from withinn the same copy of SQL Assistant) You could clear the 'Run queries Asynchronously' option (on the query tab of Options) to run in Synchronous mode. In this mode SQLA will be completely suspended while the query runs... and will not have a negative impact on anything. (You probably want to switch on the 'Minimize SQLA while a query is running' option in this case, to remove the window from your desktop... and maybe switch on Audible Notification if you normally hide, or cover, your task bar.)
