I am glad the INDICATORS fixed your issue. I am not sure if that was a rhetorical question or not, but the design of FastExport and the indicators was intentional. Since allowing a null is the default for tables and it is common to do what your question addresses regarding the movement of data from one database system to another, it would make sense to maintain the integrity of the original data, to include nulls.

If you do not want the INDICATORS you can specify: MODE RECORD on your .EXPORT command.
