I have been on the teradata website and can see the way to replicate REPLACE style functions is with UDF's

Does anyone have examples of UDF's that i could use as a template as we have never used them?

I also need to understand the linking and compilation of the UDF's

We are running RDBMS version 5.1.2.15 and a unix machine as our staging server

Any help or advice gratefully received
