Any independant comparison will be hard to find, because almost everything regarding Netezza is covered by a NDA. You can't even download the
manuals from their website :-(
It's based on PostgreSQL, which is a real good DBMS. The basic concepts are IMHO similar to Teradata V1 20 years ago when AMPs were not
virtual but real processors...
