NetVault Enterprise Edition is a comprehensive backup and restore solution for heterogeneous UNIX, Windows NT/2000, Linux and Netware
enterprise environments. With NetVault Enterprise Edition, you can rapidly add and configure new servers, devices and clients, and control them
from a central location. As an organization grows, a modular architecture allows NetVault Enterprise Edition to combine with BakBone's plugin
modules for enhanced features such as application data protection, disaster recovery, NDMP and open file protection
I think the teradata is not providing this facility
About ARC- Arc main is having ability to take the dump of the tables Also this u can use for coping the database , and its objects also, u can
also check the validity of the file using ANALYZE command, It also restore the database using RESTORE command and the overall functionality is
very easy . basically this is not for the heterogeneous Unix platforms as of netvault
I hope this is sufficient explanation
