Hello,
I had both negative and positive experience with ETL tools. The answer is probably somewhere in between - use a combination of the ETL tool and
your own programming. Everybody with experience will support me in the idea that just ETL will never solve all of your problems but it will solve
some of them and create some new ones. The beauty of coding that it has the flexibility which none of the existing tools has, plus there are
problems with support and overhead which comes with every generic solution. So , the conclusion is - do not rely solely on something but always
think that in achieving your goal you will be successful using a combination of tools.
