Ah yes, Andrew Alves, one of our dba's who is now a free agent (think he's going to go with the A's, but then again, who knows, he might end up
with the Red Sox) and I used to discuss the relative merits of the client vs. pmon views. It was a big-endian vs. little-endian discussion (the
egg kind, not the byte kind). DBQL tables make life easier still. These things evolve.
