Based on the last few email I guess I need to expand a little more... 1) Unfortunately you can not issue multiple DDL statements with 'Execute Parallel' (F9) This submits the entire query as a single statement ... and only 1 DDL statement is allowed in a transaction. 2) The removal of comments applies to both /* */ and ANSI ('--') comments - at least in the last few versions of SQL Assistant. 3) The ODBC driver may remove comments if you check the SQLA Option to "Allow use of ODBC SQL Extensions". (This may depend on what version of the driver you are using also.) The removal of comments was originally implemented back when network bandwidth was relatively scarce. Maybe it is time to consider just leaving the comments in place? (Except for those that cause problems of course.) Mike Dempsey
