I had no problems running SQLA 7.0, but I was unable to upgrade PMON and Teradata Manager. I also wound up having trouble uninstalling them and the JDBC driver among other things. I hacked the registry in an attempt to get rid of the old versions and eventually, my machine is "hosed", too.

The error message that I kept getting was that Install shield was interrupted before installation could be completed.

I didn't think that had anything to do with any version of Teradata client or utilities, but this thread made me wonder. I never contacted the help desk because I didn't think it really had anything to do with TTU.
