There seems to be no response here. Probably because the situation you are interested in does occur that often. AMP down is a rare event (in my
experience anyway), and then you have to be "lucky" to have an ML session running and have the time to think about it on top of other potential
problems. So, little practical experience here.
The ML manual seems to be discussing this in length, though. From what I remember of the discussion is that there is no chance the session will
succeed if you don't have the fallback protection on all the target tables being loaded by the ML session. Furthermore, you should not specify the
all AMPs check in the ML script. Then I think ML should survive one AMP down. In theory, that is. More details are in the ML user guide.
