hi

I m using Teradata 5.0 .

I have one query regarding to DefaultCharType for database User.

when i m creating user with DefaultCharType as unicode or latin..its insert into dbc.dbase as 1 or 2..small int datatype.

so is there any mapping table available to fetch the user with DefaultCharType as Unicode/Latin instead of 1 or 2..

I don't want to hardcode the value as I can write in select query with case statement..

I want it as dynamically..
is it possible.?

if I hardcode then in future let say in teradata 6.0 or future version I cant get new DefaultCharType..
