I dont think BTEQ (or WinBTEQ) supports parameterized queries in the GUI.

If you have SQL Assistant (Version 6.2 and above) that does support named parameters (indicated by a '?' character followed by a parameter name. eg ?LastName) and will prompt you for each parameter value at execution time.

It also stores your queries in a history file for easy future execution. (or allows you to execute queries contained in files if you prefer.)
