<-- Anonymously Posted: Monday, February 07, 2005 08:29 --> Can TDQM can block a particular job from running on MVS, based on parsing of the logonsource text in DBC.LOGONOFF? (for example, finding a specific string within the logonsource column) We have a particular user who sometimes submits fast export jobs on demand, without DBA approval, and occasionally blocks other batch jobs during the overnight hours due to the complexity of the query and the volume of the data being queried. Typically in this situation I'd think that DBAs would block a job based on the username. However, on our system, most batch jobs share a common username when logging on to Teradata, so we can't filter on the username to block the job. However, the MVS job name CAN be parsed from the logonsource text in DBC.LOGONOFF, hence my question. Thanks. p.s. We don't have TDQM in house right now.
