I would like to take Christopher's suggestion on step further. If Teradata can identify the IP address, can a trigger be written against the
logon/logoff database to run a macro/stored procedure to check the IP address and either logoff the session or change the permissions to the
session when that session logs on?. Then even users with raw utilities (BTEQ, SQLA, etc) will be restricted. I would think a decent DBA would be
able to write something like this.
