I think this is a bug in the Teradata SQL (Not sure though).. May be the SQL Standards are that way...

I have tried the LIKE function with IN operator as you have tried with the ANY operator. It just don't work...

Anything given in a list is treated as a string-constant instead of a regular-expression.

-- BTW, the listed data shows 'CENTAL' not 'CENTRAL' ...
