Subj:   Re: Geting the database name by using SQL which is locked by a failed backup job

From:   akleema_talukder

Thanks for your response. We are backing up by using arcmain utility. We know that we can check the arclog to check the status of lock.

My intension is to automate the release lock activity once a backup job fails. But in our environment, may be another backup job will be running at the same time ( when a backup job fails) and that database will be locked form the running job.

So, I need to know which database is locked from failed backupjob, before I release lock. Without going to ARCLOG how can I identify that? I just want to create a script to identify that. What is the way of doing it?

thanks,

Akleema
