No actually, it is a real software product intended to incorporate all the current load/unload utilities (Mload, Fastload, FastExport & Tpump)
in an integrated and common syntax and a GUI script building interface. I just think that it is so new that there is not enough experience with
the tool.
I think as long as the utilities exist as separate (unbundled) software, and due to the millions of lines of shell scripts already build around
those tools and other third-party ETL tools such as Informatica's Powercenter, that it will take quite some time before we see TWB catch on in a
Production environment.
