I'm guessing this is only occurring when you try this for a particular table and not globally.....You might want to run a checktable against
that object ASAP as the error you are getting generally means Teradata has a problem with the object in question. Anyway the checktable output
may shed more light on what the problem is and where you may need to go (such as to your backups or to support)......
