The SQL creativity supplied is great....
However, this question is a significant part of the reason why we implemented MetaData Services (MDS) component of Teradata. It has nice
reports, navigation, detailed dependency analysis for all objects, not just tables and views,... Al delivered in a browser interface. And really
not hard to set up for the technical metadata, harder if you want to include all the business descriptions but those are not necessary to use the
dependency analysis. And everyone who has a release at 4.1 or later already has this component in the box, all you have to do is set it up.
